This policy explains what information is collected when you visit productreviewtoday.com (the "Site"), operated by Product Review Today ("we", "us"). We have written it to be short and specific to how this Site actually works.
Information we collect
We do not ask you for personal information. The Site has no accounts, sign-up forms, comments or checkout. We only receive personal information if you choose to email us, in which case we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply.
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the Site running and secure.
Third parties that receive data when you use the Site
- Google Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google's servers, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Affiliate links. Product buttons on the Site are affiliate links provided through Mavely. When you click one, you leave our Site and Mavely, and then the retailer (for example Kohl's), may set cookies or similar technologies on your device to record that the visit came from us and to attribute any resulting purchase. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
- Retailers. Any purchase you make happens on the retailer's website. We never see your name, address or payment details, and we do not receive them from the retailer.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set cookies for advertising or tracking. Third parties described above may set cookies once you click through to their sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How we use information
To operate and secure the Site, to answer messages you send us, and to understand in aggregate which products readers click on, which affiliate networks report to us without identifying you personally. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, and the EU and UK, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we collect very little, in most cases the only personal information we may hold is an email you sent us. To make a request, email contact@productreviewtoday.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age).
Data retention and security
Emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and for our ordinary records. Server logs are kept according to our hosting provider's standard retention period. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no website can guarantee perfect security.
Changes
If we change how the Site handles data, for example by adding analytics or an email newsletter, we will update this page and the date above.
